Comments
Comments: Dry powder 6-8 inches at lower elevations to 10 inches higher up with drifts of 1.5 feet as you round below the summit. Snow tree hoodoos partially blocking the path in places. A few patches of slippery ice underneath snow not much of an obstacle. At true treeline (just before the Loop Trail) it's bare rock & black ice with occasional drifts. Looks like most of the snow blew off the summit, but I could only see the north side of it from the path. I turned back shortly after emerging from the trees. Too much cold, wind, and too late in the day. Trail now packed up and down by party of 1--for what that is worth in dry powder.
