| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
The road isn't plowed all the way to the parking area- so there is minimal parking for more than one car. Luckily we were the only ones out today. |

|
| Recommended Equipment: |

| Water Crossing Notes: |
There were a few streams running in the first mile of the trail- most were easily hopped, only one caused us some difficulty and we couldn't cross without getting the bottom of our snow shoes wet. |

Nothing noticed. |

| Comments: |
It turned out to be a perfect day for a hike. The wind chill advisory had us a little nervous in the morning, but after a few minutes of hiking we were both shedding layers and by 10 the sun had come out making for some excellent views. We followed an old snowshoe trail indicating recent usage but still requiring someone to break trail. Once we got a little past Jim Liberty Cabin we would have had to switch to microspikes because of the rock and ice so we turned around (I get cold very very easily so I was worried about my hands falling off as well). All in all it was a fun hike and the trail was really beautiful in the snow. |
