Comments: looked like a window before the storm and I hate to waste a day off....so..Jackson. light snow temps around zero as we pulled into the lot. Knowing this trail would have been packed out over the holiday we opted for spikes which proved to be a good choice for the day. Trail was a hardpacked side walk all the way with under an inch of new snow. A couple of minor ice bulges of no issue Pleased to see a glimpse of blue sky and the outline of the sun as we climbed. Very little wind made it nice to hang out on top for a bit. didn't see a soul all day though frankly conditons were much better than the last couple. Sometimes you just go. Thanks Valerie for a good day out
