We took the usual route from the parking lot to trailhead. Wore Hills from there, as there was 1-2" granular over ice. First time on the trail since the re-route....nice. Switched to snowshoes part way up the steeps on the Gale River Trail, as snow depth had increased to 10-12" powder and made for easier moving over the rocks. Kept the 'shoes on all the way to trailhead on descent, making a decent trail bed up high. No one else on the trail today. |
