| Comments: |
Hard, granular snow at the bottom that gradually deepened. For the last couple of miles, the wind has drifted the snow back in the path created by previous ascents. I used microspikes for the bottom and middle as the rock ledges didn't have great snow cover and are very icy. Snowshoes at the top. Then switched back to microspikes for the traction all the way down. Windy at the top and clouded over but wonderful to be the first one on the trail. |
