Lost and Found
Lost and Found: I lost the entire end of one trekking pole somewhere near the end of Sawyer River Road. (the tip and including the metal pole). I'm sure with the new snow, it will be well covered now, but there were a lot of hikers behind me so I'm hoping someone found it. Email me please if you have it!

Comments
Comments: A few inches new powder near the bottom, a bit more at higher elevations. Everyone I saw all day used microspikes. I did switch to snowshoes after the trail junction and wore them almost all the way to the top because I like the heel lifts, but they really weren't necessary. Trail was getting packed out by the time I came back down.
Snowmobilers on Sawyer River Road so use caution. Although the ones I saw seemed to be conscious of hikers, and slowed down.
