Comments
Comments: Left the snowshoes in the car. The trail is a nicely packed corridor of several inches of snow the whole way. Microspikes worked but there are definitely spots to be very careful (or use crampons) where solid ice flows are under the snow or exposed, especially in the steeps. All were easily avoided, though, using handholds (up) or butt (down).
