Was able to park fully off the pavement on the westbound side of the Kanc no problems. 8 cars there today. |

| Water Crossing Notes: |
Crossings very low. Iced over in morning, easy rock stepping in warmer afternoon. |

Several blow downs along the way of varying heights, some with paths around. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
Ice under snow made for many slick spots, would recommend only for a dog with experience in such conditions. |

| Comments: |
Left the snowshoes in the car. The trail is a nicely packed corridor of several inches of snow the whole way. Microspikes worked but there are definitely spots to be very careful (or use crampons) where solid ice flows are under the snow or exposed, especially in the steeps. All were easily avoided, though, using handholds (up) or butt (down). |
