I was the only one @ 8. One other pulled in just before I started my hike. Only 3 cars in the lot just after noon. |

Very low water flows. Several drainages bridged. Others crossed very easy with rock hops and/or partial bridges. |

All the slush from last weekend was frozen solid. Carried shoes for the ridge and 1" crampons for the S Hancock descent. Did not need them. Ice everywhere but enough packed snow or easy by-passes on the heavy ice. Wore sharp spikes from beginning to end and experienced excellent purchase. |
