the trail today was like a cookie; crispy and crunchy with a light dusting of sugar-like snow. the trail is frozen solid; a lot of frozen slush, nice and grippy. there is some flow ice, mostly concentrated just below the junction of the sossman trail. beautiful day, sunny, but the wind is really cold, a taste of what is in store for us. |
