Was able to park along the road not far from the trailhead. Parking lots were being used by skiers. |

Need to step on rocks for the first crossing. Afterwards the brooks have more or less iced over for the other crossings. |

Was a cold day but it worked out. Bare booted for the ascent then put micro spikes on the descent. Snow from the start...a few inches at best. The trail was well-packed and easy to follow. Saw one guy carrying skis; and a young man and woman carrying snowboards. There was sun with great views from the top. Bitter cold but there was not any wind so it was actually quite pleasant. Going to need snowshoes tomorrow! |
