Comments
Comments: Livermore trail had previously mentioned blowdowns and is still soft. We ran into snow coverage where the trail to the North Slide intersects and put on snowshoes. Dont bother as snow disappeared in 5 minutes as did the snowshoes and we did not need them until just before the final small brook on Scaur Ridge where the climb gets steeper. Snow was well consolidated and we did not post-hole after that. The track follows the blazes to the ridge. Lots of blowdowns have been removed on Tripyramid Trail and it is in good condition all the way to Middle Tripyramid. Snow got a little softer in the afternoon but was fine. Saw folks in crampons, microspikes and snowshoes but if the weather gets warmer and the snow softer -- snowshoes will be the way to go.
