Comments
Comments: Started late like usual, hoping to do all three peaks. Put spikes on after first stream crossing. Slow going due to 3-4 inches of new snow on top of ice. Lots of unseen rocks and ice to be aware of. A-Z trail was tedious to Mt.Tom Spur. Spur was better to summit. Good going on Willey Range to Mt Field. Would have come out in the dark with a Mt Willey attempt. Decided to use crampons for decending on Avalon. Slow going trying not to trip or roll ankles on hidden rocks Good traction though.
Its real bad out there. Lets hope for snow on Sunday. I'm done till then.
