Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Starting to bridge but not to be trusted yet-was able to get across each with careful rock hops or log crossings with microspikes on. Difficult to tell what is a rock beneath the crusty snow and ice and what is a possible unsafe ice/snow bridge.

Comments
Comments: Only person on the mountain today-nice day but cold on top. Started off with a slight dusting of snow and progressed to 4-5 inches of powder over crust and ice by the Garfield Ridge trail. Difficult walking as microspikes are needed because of hidden ice under the powder but there are many hidden small rocks that were constantly beating away at the spikes and ultimately, the bottom of the feet. That said, great day out....
