Comments
Comments: A nice day with temps from 10 to 25 with mostly cloudy skies. Very windy at the top of Garfield, so I didn't stay long although the views were very good. Presidential and Franconia Ranges in the clouds, other peaks in the clear. Roadwalk was good going as was the Garfield trail until the switchbacks started. There the ice flows were tricky and light traction was needed as well as poles. The summit kedges of Garfield were all covered with a thin coating of ice which made it difficult to get to the top near the concrete foundation.
