Three blowdowns: one is an easy duck-under, one is an easy saddle-over, and one is a crawl-through. Chainsaws will be needed to remove all of them. |

Enough water and some good mud down low. Lots of rabbit tracks to sniff and follow up by the viewpoint. |

| Comments: |
Microspikes worked well from about the 2,200-foot level on up, though I had problems with the wet, sticky snow up high balling on the Micros. Snowshoes would be useful for some beginning where the trail makes the big turn to the left, at about 2,800 feet. (All the tracks today went right, following the Kinsman Glade ski route. We stayed left, though, because we love the viewpoint on Cannon's east shoulder.) |
