Comments
Comments: Spikes up to the ledges just below S peak. Put on 1" light crampons to get past large sections of very heavy ice. Perfect purchase with the 1" crampons. Would have been extremely difficult and dangerous to attempt these upper ledges with spikes. Large sections of ice on Rollins so I kept the crampons on till way below the summit of Passaconaway. Met Traci (sp) just before she started her out and back on Rollins. Traci, contact me if you are interested in hiking with a group.
