| Comments: |
Cold at start, Eye lashes freezing, soon got warmer. lashes stopped freezing,Overall beautiful day out, top of Flume virtually no wind while I was there. Five and 1\2 miles up so opted out of Liberty as I got tired. I missed my hiking partner Dave L. I look forward to catching some winter hikes soon. I also hope that my work mate Trish got to continue her seeking of the 48, The trails had a mix of dry ground and ice as well as ice under packed snow and about two miles from the top it came to be same surface but with 1\2 to one inch of reecent snow. I was able to bear boot to the top of Flume However, I liked the security of my hillsounds on the way down as the ladders are filling in and there was some of that hidden ice up high. I wanted to say to my wife Bobbi as she was not hiking this day. |
