| Recommended Equipment: |
Light Traction |
|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
First easy. Second is easier up by the trail arrow. Trail is a bit lower but crossing would be tougher.
Crossing in the col was easy with traction. All will be tougher as more ice forms (but not enough to bridge. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Everything clear. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
Would be a good intro hike to winter for a dog. |

| Comments: |
The trail is doable without traction but they make life much easier (especially on descent).
Ice on whole trail and it is thick in places. Snow started as a trace but went up to a couple of inches after the view junction. Trail is frozen footprints so walking is varied. Great way to get some of yesterdays meal off the body. Clear views. Snow guns are loud and annoying in spots.
22 days until winter! |
