rock hopping on all crossings - some ice on rocks ; a couple of the higher crossings on flume slide required thinking about and wariness of ice on rocks |

Good amount of solid climbable ice on mid section of Flume slide. Used axe and finally donned crampons to point up it safely. Buddy managed with axe and no crampons, but required a couple of side excursions.
4 or 5" of snow on upper section and ridge; trace low down.
Slippery, refrozen ground on mid and lower sections, spikes / light traction would have helped, but bare boots fine with care |
