Comments
Comments: Snow-free at the trailhead, a dusting of snow started about a half mile in with ice patches shortly after but easily avoidable for a few miles. Put on microspikes on the ascent for two ice flows, one at the beginning of the long switchback and the other at the end of the long switchback, above there ice increased but there was a few inches of sticky snow covering it to provide adequate traction. Wore spikes on the descent until the end of the long switchback which made the descent faster and much safer. No more than 3-4" of snow and no real drifting to speak of. Decent views from Signal Ridge and the summit tower, higher peaks were in the clouds but blue skies to the south. Saw about a dozen other people out enjoying the day. Great challenging November hike with Hannah.
