Comments
Comments: Lots of ice but also lots of dry rocks sticking up to avoid said ice. There were a few rather dicey ice flows but I stayed traction-less for the day. Met only 3 people today, all in the area of Zeta pass. They all did Carter Dome and went down. I made the only tracks over South and Middle Carter this day. The North Carter trail was less icy than all that came before it and the imp trail was the pick of the litter with very dry and ice free footing starting about a mile above the Camp Dodge cut off. Pretty chilly on the Dome with a brisk wind but very pleasant everywhere else. Great, clear views from all the normal spots on the loop.
