Comments
Comments: The Kilkenny Ridge had some black ice hidden under snow. My friend fell on one of those sections and after that we donned spikes, which were helpful. Unknown Pond Trail had some significant mud, and overall the trail was slushy and muddy with tricky footing in places because of the narrowness of the trail and the way it was banked, and because of smaller rocks hiding under the snow. Unknown Pond was beautiful with the sun just starting to go below the mountains, and the views at the Horn were fabulous! However, Unknown Pond Trail is definitely not my favorite. Might be better if frozen and deeper snow.
