Comments
Comments: 4-5cm at the bottom that grows quickly to 10cm in middle sections, 15-20cm close to and above treeline. Some icy patches on Ammonoosuc trail but could be avoided. I put microspikes on at around 4000 feet and left it on till 3000 feet on Jewell trail. Proved to be very useful! Gaiters and microspikes are warmly recommended.
It seemed Jewell trail received more snow, 25-30cm, with significant snow drifts. Snow got heavier in the afternoon in lower sections.
Nice, sunny day with no clouds and almost a windstill. I only used my shell when stopped at Mt Washington and during downhill on exposed Gulfside trail. Otherwise a fleece did its job.
