Comments
Comments: Warming temperatures resulted in changing conditions throughout the day. About an inch or two of packed snow on the way up to Avalon - barebooted up, but would have wanted light traction if going back down those steeps. Similar conditions up to Field and over to Tom, generally not more than 2-3 inches of snowpack.
Slippery going on the way down from Tom back to the Avalon junction - light traction recommended. I suspect things will set up overnight, so it could be firm and slippery first thing in the morning.
Below the second water crossing, things were getting pretty muddy this afternoon.
Congratulations to Cynthia on finishing the Grid on Mt. Tom today!
