Comments
Comments: Snow shoes from the start and on for the whole day. Down low on the flats there is patchy wet bare ground, but mostly snow. It'll take a few more warm days to melt it. The water crossings were all doable with wet boots. Running a little higher on the return.

The snow was soft and postholing with snow shoes was common. Lots of blow-downs across the ridge to the base of the north peak. Bill Marcotte and I cleared lots of them on our return trip. The ridge walk between the two peaks was firm and more consolidated. Trail obscure in places.

Broke actual trail out where it crosses to the left at the top of the gully. Looks like some folks went straight up for the whack to the ridge.

Talked with two who came up from the Scaur side. One had on skis and was heading over to try his luck on the north slide. Nice Folks.

Warm as a summer day out there today.
