Comments
Comments: The Signal Ridge Trail had only a thin coating of snow on the start of the ascent up to Signal Ridge on to the summit. Very brief spots of ice on ledges and rocks mainly on the ascent stretch leading to Signal Ridge. The icy sections can be passed with careful foot placement without traction. I would recommend carrying light traction in case it is required. The little bit of mud was the section of the trail paralleling Whiteface Brook however there were many rock steps.
Saw many hikers including an eight year old boy. Nice views from the summit observation platform which have new planking. The old boards are on the east side of the summit.
