Great day for cold-weather hike, I used microspikes at the top half of Crawford Path before Pierce and then again on the decent of Edmands Path (steep icy sections on Edmands Path and mini crampons might be a wiser choice). Wind at peaks: 25MPH, Wind Chill -17F. A day to keep moving but such a thrill. I used no traction on the Crawford Path and loop trails between peaks. |
