I turned back at the Mt. Pleasant Brook crossing because the trail after that was completely encased in ice, and a fairly steep part was covered in inch-thick slippery ice. My microspikes wouldn't cut it for climbing up the pitch, and there was no safe way up it, so I turned back. That makes three failed attempts of Eisenhower. Until next summer... |
