| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
A few duck under/step over blowdowns as noted a few days ago by HFKA Dr. D. I trimmed out the birch whose crown had fallen across the trail. Signage fine. Brushing mostly okay, but some softwood boughs may vex skiers this winter. Waterbars have the usual seasonal leaf accumulation. |

| Comments: |
Microspikes were appreciated on the uppermost part of the route (from the Garfield Trail-Garfield Ridge Trail intersection), which was rather icy in many places (not much accumulation, but all you need is a thin coating to need extra grip). Otherwise the trail was in good shape, with only occasional small patches of ice, snow etc. A trace amount of graupel fell in a few showers on the descent. |
