Took advantage of an unexpectedly warm and sunny day above treeline. Jefferson notch Rd is open and in good shape. Caps has very little ice; all was easily avoidable. just a trace of snow above treeline in the shade. We were never tempted to put on our spikes, but i wouldn't go up without them. Airline had the most ice, but it was still all easily avoidable. didn't see anyone else all day! thanks Bill for a great hike |
