There is plenty of water at lower elevation and even some open water about 14/ of a mile before the Mt. Osceola summit.
But ice is the challenge. Cinnila stayed focused and used all her experience to bypass or carefully step over the ice-covered sections. Very skilfully done. Fortunately the icy-sections are not steep but the angled ledges are the worst and not so easy to deal with.
One other dog on the trail but I think they might have turned around.
The chimney bypass is ice-free and dogs that can otherwise handle the bypass should not have any problems. |

 | Comments: |
Patchy ice all the way. The last 1/2 mile before the Mt. Osceola summit has significant ice coverage and some sections cannot really be bypassed. Used microspikes.
There is hardly any ice between the 2 peaks and the chimney - and chimney bypass - are ice free. |
