| Comments: |
A dusting of snow at the base on this cold and windy day. Around 2500 to 3000 feet there were about 2 to 3 inches of new fluffy snow with no underlying ice. Snowed previous evening. Temp in 20s on top, brisk wind, cold, the view was only a hundred feet or so. Summit trees and signs covered with rime snow/ice. Poles handy. No additional traction needed. Only 2 other hikers on trail. One fellow turned around ("too cold"), a woman and dog continued somewhere to the Bonds(?) according to other hiker. |
