Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Our Airedale pup had a ball hiking in the first snow, he particularly enjoyed jumping and running in the open field about half way into Land-a-Hand. Met two other friendly and playful dogs at the Hale summit, where all three had a nice meet and greet, while the masters had one on their own.

Comments
Comments: It was a beautiful and bright albeit a bit windy day. Light dusting of snow added a nice, wintery touch. Below freezing temps made some rocks, especially at stream crossings slick and slippery, but it wasn't bad for this time of year. It was a good winter gear shake-up hike reminding it's time to transition into liner gloves AND mittens, as well as warmer boots and base layers.
