| Comments: |
Some bare spots at the trailhead, but shortly becomes fine monorail, and then excellent snowshoe track to the cut-off for the Pierce summit. Lots of downed and bent trees in the higher spruce-fir section, but merely a nuisance and no real problem. Short section from CP to Pierce summit is mostly bare. From Pierce north the Crawford Path remains solid snowshoe track to junction with Eisenhower Loop. However, the snowshoe track varies at times off of the true trail through scrub so beware of soft spots into spruce traps. Upper Eisenhower and summit are bare. Passed two bare-booters on my descent, hope they don't ruin the fine track for others. |
