Comments
Comments: No snow at the start of the Avalon trail, with muddy sections frozen and increasing snow to patches by the A-Z Trail junction. After the junction, increasing to full snow coverage and thin snow over ice on the steep section ascending to the Avalon spur. Between the Avalon spur and the summit of Field, snow depth increases to 1"+, with ice underneath in the usual muddy places. Had microspikes, but never used them, I was comfortable with the traction my boots provided.
