trail is brushy and has a few blowdowns in spots, especially around the Weeks |

had snow on and off most of the day, but it only stuck at higher elevations. some in our group used spikes for a while, some did not, but it was really worth having them. snow and wet leaves made the trail slippery in spots. a lot of variety in the trail conditions. some areas are well traveled and in good shape. others were quite brushy, which made for damp hiking with the snow on the trees. this is a great hike, with some really nice views and varied terrain. thanks to Bill, Bob, Steve, Wayne and Jeff for such a great day. |
