Comments
Comments: while conditions changeable this is what we found today..Dry trail to around 2500 feet with a couple of short muddy spots..A couple of quite icy spots just above snoline then fairly stable monorail on ascent..deep postholes off the rail. Sun softened corn snow across the carriage Road..very deep though views have disappeared a bit. Mostly open and dry above treeline. Snow line around 2500 feet..used spikes on asecnt with little problem to the carriage Road though it was a bit soft across the talus field. carriage road monorail postholed but solid.. Used snowshoes coming back as sun had further softened and we kept them on for the descent back to snow line. A group of postholers merrily and obliviously trashing the trail but we smoothed it out some.. Great far reaching views today
