Comments
Comments: A rather uneventful trip - the trails were in great condition, the skies were mostly blue, the temperatures were mild, and the winds were pretty calm. Once we broke treeline we started to see rime ice on the rocks, shrubs, and trail signs. As we got close to the summit nearly everything was covered in ice. Managed to make it without having to use the microspikes that were strapped to the sides of our packs. Not that many people on the trail on the way up or at the summit when we arrived, but that changed as the day went on - more people arrived and we saw more on the trails as we returned to our cars. By the time we got back out on the trail most of the ice had melted away. Had a pretty good fall on the cog railway crossing - got distracted and slipped on the slick cross-ties. Managed to scrape my knee and bang m knee as my right leg slipped between the ties. A little blood and a little bruising but nothing to bad. This trip completed my seasonal grid (each of the 48 in each of the 4 seasons) and my fifth round of the 48.
