Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: None.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The Air Line is in great shape. It was almost completely dry, except for a few limited wet areas, and some places where rocks that did not appear slippery really were. The last 0.6 mile climb up the talus-covered summit cone requires some extra care and time.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Bring lots of doggie water guys or you'll be thirsty. We saw many two-legged friends but only one four-legged friend all day. Summit, you're a GOOD BOY!

Comments
Comments: The Air Line is one of the most scenic trails I've hiked. Very interesting things were going on with the clouds all day. A big low cloud mass was moving slowly in and out of King Ravine like the tide, while higher clouds were moving in completely different directions at the same time. Early clouds/fog burned off, while a few wispy clouds drifted through the Great Gulf. Some peaks to the north and east were sticking up above the clouds, and in the afternoon most of the valleys cleared up. My friend Bob, who had hiked Adams previously in completely cloudy conditions was having a great time photographing everything. This hike is how I completed the 48 list, but I am in no way "finshed" with these peakssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!
