| Comments: |
Had been by the Cabot Spring spur quite a few times but never went down, so today was a scheduled day to get it...spur trail quite overgrown with spruce and fir, but the spring was running well...continued on to Cabot summit and decided to head over to the Bulge; had not been over that way in 8 years or so...footbed better than I remember..did not go to the Horn as fog ruled the day...rime ice at Cabot Cabin and summit, and also at Bulge summit...got a shower of rime ice numerous times from windy conditions...met two other hikers between Horn spur and Unknown Pond..Unknown Pond Trail rockier than I remember up near the pond, down low it is in ok shape and makes a fast exit.... |
