| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Messy blowdown between owl's cliff and Tremont.
The sign is broken on the brunel trail where it overlaps logging road. The turn is very easy to miss on the way down. Be on the lookout for a tight path and broken sign. |

After staying the night at sawyer pond campsite, I got an early start and bushwhacked from the pond to the Owl’s cliff Tremont col. I followed herd paths around the pond to a sandy beach which can be seen from the shelter. From there, I followed a heading up to the ridge. Very straight forward/relatively easy going. From the col I climbed Tremont and enjoyed a fine view. I went on to Owl’s cliff and was surprised to find a canister at the highpoint, only several yards off the trail. Highly recommended loop. |
