Started mid afternoon in moderate rains (knowing that per the radar, they were soon to end). Rain let up by the time I made it to the upper brook crossing, however the downpours had left things pretty mucky. The upper elevations were wet on ascent, however about an hour or two after the rain had ceased, the underground springs were pushing water out in the normal places, making things wetter were drainage hasn't been installed. The ski trails were drying out decently this evening though.
Fall colors starting to pop up in the valley, as well as on some higher elevation birch trees. |
