Blow downs not an issue. There are many small mud patches with mostly squishy walkable mud and there are a few places where the mud is a bit deeper and wetter but its all easily dealt with. |

On the way up I met a just married couple taking a short honeymoon hike and overnight stay at Garfield Ridge shelter complete with spectacular sunset from Garfield. On the way down I met another just married couple doing the same thing. I had no idea it was such a hot spot. Perfect day to be on the trail to anywhere. |
