Comments
Comments: Spectacular views on upper half of trails. But the views Margie and I will remember the most were of the two (separate) hikers we encountered coming down close to dark; one had severe knee issues and told us "I ain't gonna make it." And the other had taken a tumble and thus had a huge lump and hematoma on his forehead. It's true that injuries can happen to anyone while on the trails but once injured you should be equipped to somewhat handle the situation. And, neither of these separate hikers had cell phones or headlights. The "knee" guy was way out of shape and carrying too much. The "head" guy had nothing but the clothes he was wearing. And both hikers had come across the ridge lines from Garfield and Liberty! We helped out as best we could but you really need to have some supplies with you for these situations and more importantly; know your limitations.
