Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
| Recommended Equipment: |
| Water Crossing Notes: |
Easy crossing on rocks on Carrigain Brook on Signal Ridge Trail and on the tributary of Carrigain Branch on the Desolation Trail. There were many dry stony stream beds especially down low on the Carrigain Notch Trail. |
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Overall the trails are in good condition. There was erosion on the Carrigain Notch Trail just east of its junction with the Nancy Pond Trail. There was also some undergrowth intruding on this section of the trail. At the foot of the Desolation Trail just uphill from the river crossing has mud spanned by rotting logs. |
