There is one good size Beech tree laying across the trail about 50 yards from the trail head. People have been walking thru/over it. Otherwise, except for wet slippery rocks trail is in good shape.  |

Some annoying "eye flies" on lower part of the trail.  |

Was going to do lend a hand and Zealand from Hale but a late start and possible thunder storms changed my mind. Last week I met an 84 year old hiker, today a 4 year old doing his first 4000 foot mt. Truly a life sport.   |
