Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: There are a number of water crossings along the Rocky Branch and (mostly) Isolation Trails, all of which are easy to walk across as the water level is low at the moment.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: On the Isolation Trail there are some rough sections but the blowdowns have been nicely cleared and the trail is very passable. Also along the Isolation Trail and on the Rocky Branch Trail, there are sections where the trail is extremely wet even in dry weather--this might be tricky in wet weather. Overall the trails are in great shape.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Not a bad trail for dogs, but long mileage makes for sore paws.
Bugs
Bugs: A few flies and mosquitoes, not bad overall.

Comments
Comments: North Isolation can be found by reaching the height of land along the Davis Path just past its second junction with the Isolation Trail (from the height of land, there's a view of Mt. Washington through a stand of dead trees) and then bushwhacking a bit to the highest point.
