Comments
Comments: Bike path/snowmobile trail was mostly bare from Basin to herd path - a few slight patches of ice on the side in shade. No snow until first water crossing on Liberty Spring Trail. Herd path was fairly dry, though Liberty Spring Trail had some water and mud on it (not too bad). Very little snow until shortly after top water crossing. Above that, trail was frozen in the morning, with 1-6" of new powder starting near the campsite, all the way to Flume (turning to spring snow in the afternoon). Some slippery spots. MSR-like snowshoes were ideal.
