Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Cars overflowing from the day before at 5:45am but I was able to grab a spot right next to the kiosk. Overflowing again at 3pm. The old pay tube has been pulled out of the ground and looks to be awaiting removal.

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Decided to stay on the trail proper today and do all three crossings of the Little River. I easily rock stepped them but I heard of others taking off their boots to cross. It is evident that the trail is less traveled that the bypass. I believe the trail proper is a much nicer section of trail, straight, wide, and smooth.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A couple big step overs on North Twin Tr but overall all trails are in very good shape. There was also some boot sucking mud on the North Twin Tr along some steps on a newer reroute between the 2nd and 3rd crossing.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Marlie handled the 20+ miles like a champ but it may be too much for some dogs. There was no water worth mentioning, except at Guyot Campsite 200' below the ridgeline, from about 3 miles up the North Twin Tr onward. We had to ration and were glad when we reached a stream crossing on the return. I was able to get a famous Bondcliff photo of Marlie today! That made it all worth the while:)
Bugs
Bugs: Some buzzing on West Bond and Bondcliff but not too bothersome.

Comments
Comments: I had to hike this one as an in and out since my buddy bailed 10 hours pre hike. I was not looking forward to reclimbing Bond from Bondcliff but the second climb of South Twin was the one that I really had to put my nose to the grindstone. The slightly overcast sky was nice with a high temp of around 70. Marlie and I pushed ourselves today. A great way with great peaks to hit 50%!
