 | Comments: |
About 75% of the listed trails are snow free and dry. Some short patches of snow and ice on Whiteface Trail after water crossing (before stonewall). Piper-Whiteface Link had some wet ledges and some patches of snow and ice - light traction probably not a bad idea, especially as black ice was forming this evening. Still some deep patches of snow on the ridge to the highpoint. Heading south, though, ledges were mostly clear (though once again, black ice forming this evening). Some minor patches of snow on the way to Swett Mountain. Note that the trails listed here generally face south and bake in the sun all day - snowshoes no longer needed here, however northern-exposed and evergreen-covered portions of the Belknaps still look to be well endowed with snow. |
